Declaration on the accessibility of Digital Charging Solutions GmbH services in accordance with Annex 2 of Germany’s Accessibility Improvement Act (BFSG)
Description of services
Digital Charging Solutions GmbH (“DCS”) offers digital services aimed at drivers of electric vehicles.
These services enable drivers to:
- find charging stations throughout Europe,
- activate these charging stations,
- and pay for the electricity used.
Key features include:
- a map-based real-time search for charging stations,
- a filter function by plug type,
- charging station availability,
- a display of prices and
- payment and billing functions.
These services are provided via web platforms and mobile applications (“app”). To use these services, users must register with DCS via the website or app and sign a charging service contract.
Accessibility and usability of the services
DCS has designed its services to be accessible and inclusive, so they can also be used by drivers with limitations and disabilities.
Our websites and apps meet the accessibility requirements of the BFSG and the associated BFSGV, in particular § 3 (1) and § 12 No. 3 BFSGV, where these regulations apply to our services and target group. The websites and apps are designed to be user-friendly and intuitive in accordance with recognised accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 Level A-AA):
- Perceivable: Information and user interfaces are presented in such a way that they can be perceived by all users, regardless of their sensory abilities.
- Operable: The user interface and navigation are accessible to all target users – even without a mouse or with certain motor impairments.
- Understandable: The information and user interface operation are understandable and predictable.
- Robust: Content is robust enough to be reliably interpreted by a wide range of user agents (e.g., browsers, screen readers) – even with future technologies.
Competent market surveillance authority
The federal states of Germany are currently establishing a joint body to perform the tasks of the Accessibility Improvement Act:
the Federal States’ Market Surveillance Authority for the Accessibility of Products and Services (MLBF) in Magdeburg.
